Giving birth is something that you will only do a few times in your life, at most, and it is an experience that you will remember for the rest of your life. Although your body birthes ‘by itself’, your thoughts and your environment can greatly influence that process. Give yourself the best possible birth by preparing yourself well, so that you know what to expect and what you can do to make your birth as pleasant as possible. With my scientific background and my loving support, I am happy to help you achieve the most beautiful birth of your baby.
Who am I?
Hi, my name is Monique. I am a biologist (MSc), science communicator, birth doula and mother.
From an early age on I have been fascinated by pregnancy and birth. A baby growing in your belly is truly a biological tour de force, let alone the whole process of birth. All those hormones and organs working together!
After I gave birth myself, I dived even deeper into the world of birth. A training to become a doula, researching scientific articles and protocols, studying textbooks, creating my own birth courses, talking to midwives about how we can improve birth care…and I am still learning.
Unfortunately I hear sad stories about birth too often… Birth can be such a wonderful experience! I wish you the most beautiful birth experience there is.
In my birth courses I teach everything about childbirth, and as a doula (birth coach) I personally guide you in preparing for your birth and support you during your whole birth.
